Plexigen is interested in collaborating with other business partners to expand our product offerings and services. We are currently focusing on the following three areas for collaboration:
1. Microarray Core Facility: Increase the throughput of your facility by adding a geneCube™ system. Plexigen is soliciting microarray core facilities to provide microarray services for both DNA and protein-based applications.
2. Customized Product Development and Technology Out Licensing: The geneCube is a general purpose platform suitable for many applications. Plexigen will provide development services for organizations interested in novel applications of the geneCube platform.
3. Collaborative Projects: Because the geneCube platform enables very large projects involving the analysis of thousands or even million of samples. Plexigen is looking for projects which cannot be implemented using traditional surface-based biochips because of the size of the experiment.

The geneCube™ platform is a technology suitable for many applications. Plexigen has implemented some applications related to gene expression, protein assay and genotyping and offers these mature assays through direct service and services at its marketing collaborators and microarray core facilities. For specific applications, Plexigen is seeking opportunities for co-development of novel applications on the geneCube platform with organizations having specific needs. Plexigen is also seeking opportunities for out licensing the geneCube technology for novel applications.

Plexigen is seeking partnership opportunities to use the geneCube platform internally for large scale and high value projects. Plexigen can share the costs associated with the project or jointly apply for funding for the projects with the partners.
Here is a list of some possible project opportunities:
- Identifying molecular signatures with therapeutic significance using a novel geneCube biochip platform and a retrospective approach.
- Gene expression profiling for combinations of cancer types and compound treatments.
- Develop discriminant models and diagnostic assays between common inflammatory and infectious diseases and biological and chemical warfare agents.
- Develop protein interaction assays on a novel geneCube biochip platform.
- Applications of a novel geneCube biochip platform in toxicology.
- Antibody screening using a novel geneCube biochip platform.
- Plexigen platform for use in continuous monitoring for exposure to bioterrorism agents though pathogen detection and host response.
- Develop statistical methods for analyzing the very large amounts of data generated on the geneCard and geneCube.
- Exploiting the high throughput potential of the geneCube platform in compound screening.
- Obtain genotype and gene expression data for genes controlling drug metabolism.
- Because of its experimental design, throughput, flexibility and accuracy, the geneCube platform is a great candidate for use in FDA regulated applications of biochips.
